Located at 13766 S Inglewood Ave in Hawthorne, CA, The Greatest is a neighborhood dive bar that has earned its name the old-fashioned way. One cold drink and one loyal regular at a time. No gimmicks, no dress code, no cocktail menu with a paragraph of backstory. Just a great bar doing what a great bar is supposed to do.
The bar first opened its doors in 1979. Pat Rocca purchased it in 1989 and made it his own. For decades, Pat was the heart of this place. A familiar face behind the bar, a name every regular knew, and a presence that turned a neighborhood bar into a Hawthorne institution.

A True Family Affair
When Pat passed, his son Jason stepped in and carried on what his father built. Jason and his wife Stephanie now run every aspect of the business together. Bar operations, marketing, supplier relations, staffing. It is a full team effort, every single day. Stephanie's daughter Dominique works the bar from time to time, keeping the family tradition alive on both sides.

Son of Pat Rocca. Jason took over the bar and has continued building on the foundation his father laid. He handles day-to-day operations, supplier relationships, and the overall direction of the business.

Jason's wife and full partner in running The Greatest. Stephanie is involved in everything from marketing to bar operations. The bar runs because of the effort she puts in every day.

Stephanie's daughter and a familiar face to regulars. Dominique works the bar from time to time and represents the next generation keeping the family tradition going.
